Varna puppet theatre is back from performing in two international puppet festivals
This year, after a special selection, the performance of Varna Puppet Theatre “Folklore fantasies” was invited to perform in the most popular theatre forum in Spain – the 21st edition of European Fair of the Stage Arts for Children “FETEN”, which took place from 02.25. to 03.02 in Gijon, Spain. Varna Puppet Theatre – partner of the Success project
State puppet theatre of Varna is a partner of numerous schools in the city, which joined the Success’ project– “Let’s make the school attractive to young people” under the Human Resource Development Operational Program, financed by the European Social Fund for the financial framework for 2007-2013, also the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science. Nine and a Bit closed Glum Bal Festival in Niš
The performance Nine and a Bit produced by Boian Ivanov and the choreographer Tatiana Sokolova, stage design, costumes and video by Venelin Shurelov, has been invited by Mrs. Biliana Vuiovich – director of “Glum Bal Festival” as a special guest for the day of closure and the official ceremony of bestowing the prizes to the participants in the festival. Allegro Vivace in Dublin, Ireland
Allegro Vivace has been presented with success on the stage of Samuel Beckett Theater in the heart of Dublin. In front of an impressive audience the characters of Allegro Vivace showed their abilities and got the applause of grown-ups and children. The Golden Dolphin for Varna State Puppet Theatre
After a six-year absence, The Golden Dolphin has returned in the hands of Varna Puppet Theater. The Grand Prize had been won by the performance Outlook of a Stump, produced by Tedy Moskov. Same performance won the prize for stage production and acting mastery for the entire production team.
The host theater's prize for technical support was actually well-deserved.

ICARUS 2011 for Outlook of a Stump
Outlook of a Stump by Varna State Puppet Theatre and Cyrano de Bergerac by Ivan Vazov National Theatre were awarded ICARUS for stage production.
